Like the heavy guitar riffs and grooves you’re about to hear, life has its burdens and at times might feel like it’s carrying a lot of weight. All the world’s struggles, constant bombardment of negativity on news can be overwhelming and many of us have this feeling that we want to escape from it. In addition to wanting to stop following every news story, a growing number of people are giving up social media in favor of living their real lives and keep their minds relaxed. The third single ‘Heavy Skies’ from the upcoming Formation Ritual’s debut album is an instant hard rocking classic that explores how society is crumbling and how it makes you want to get away from it all, to take a break.

Founded in 2021 by multi-instrumentalist Jason Tapia, Formation Ritual combines roots from classic rock with influences that come from music through many decades. If you like it raw, straight from the heart, this might be your next jam. You’ll hear heavy and fuzzy guitar riffs, overdriven organ, analog synth, and melodic vocals that make Formation Ritual’s music memorable and appealing to crowds. To make the first record, ‘The Shifting Dust’, Tapia invited his friend and collaborator Jose Perez to co-produce, engineer, and play drums. Bass and strong vibrations were added to the record by Jose’s longtime buddy and House of Broken Promises singer Joe Mora.
‘The Shifting Dust’ will be released on July 8, 2022. Keep an eye out for updates!
