With their latest EP, “Wasteland”, the Los Angeles metal band King Kaos pushes forward with apocalyptic themes that explore humanity’s darker side.

Some would label King Kaos as melodic death metal, but essentially it’s a mixture of all things heavy. Their newest EP ‘Wasteland’ offers a full spectrum of extreme, fast and groovy, with epic guitar riffs, intricate drum patterns and powerful vocals that complete this texture of beautiful darkness. The Wacken Battle of the Bands, shows at The Viper Room, and the Whisky, sharing the stage with Soulfly are a few of the most notable King Kaos onstage appearances. Every headbanger’s dream mashup of death, black, trash, and a touch of other metal genres can be found in King Kaos.

The band was formed back in 2018, and it consists of the lead vocalist Kon, guitarist Erik, bassist Michael, and drummer Anton. Strong team players are necessary for a good team. The group’s continued development can be attributed to their great musical chemistry and shared passion. They don’t waste any time at all, and to the best of our knowledge, the ‘Wasteland’ EP’s recording took no more than two days. Without a doubt, that is impressive. It’s best if musicians can return to the stage as soon as possible, don’t you think?

All original songs on Wasteland EP are written and performed by King Kaos, except for the track ‘Nomad’ originally written by Sepultura. Producer Anton Peterson, sound engineer Jonathan Maia, and the song mixing at Havoc Studios are all to credit for the final product.
