Lila Khasanlany releases a vivid debut EP “Uranus Fish”

Without a doubt, Lila Khasanlany deserves a slot on our Spotify playlist “Kickass Women”, which is dedicated to female singers who spit fire.

Lila Khasanlany is a singer-songwriter from Stavropol who strives to blend genres to create her own unique sound. She started her career as a vocalist with ProgressiVe in 2014 and chose to establish her own project in 2021. The foundation for the artist has been laid with the publication of the “Uranus Fish” EP, which was recorded in Revolvers Studio, and now it’s time to share this music with the world.

Our favorite song is “Shadow Waters”, a juicy song with intense emotion, dynamic and kick-ass vocal performance throughout the chorus, and a serene outro that gave some of us the feeling of being someplace on a lonely island late at night, when there’s water flowing and stars in the sky. Since the atmosphere that music creates is so vital and cannot be ignored, we’ve decided to highlight this EP on RED.

5 Questions with Lila Khasanlany on RED Rock Magazine

Do you believe in free will or destiny?

LILA: ”Destiny exists. But free will is not an empty phrase. The world is complex and ambiguous. The only thing that remains is the pursuit of development.”

What’s your favorite movie or book?

LILA: ”I am a cinephile. The question of my favorite movie can really confuse me. Well… “Black Swan”, “American Beauty”, “The Matrix”, and the Harry Potter franchise (movies and books). If we talk about books, then my choice is “The Master and Margarita” by Mikhail Bulgakov.”

What’s the weirdest dream you ever had?

LILA: ”Prophetic dreams. Probably one of the strangest things I’ve ever had in my life.”

If you could control something with your TV remote, what would it be?

LILA: ”Wow! What a power, haha! Ok, seriously speaking, I would like to destroy such a human quality as violence. After that, I would get rid of this TV remote.”

What are five things you can’t live without?

LILA: ”I have some vague doubts… haha, oxygen, that’s definitely oxygen. It’s number one! To be honest, it’s hard for me to live without pets, personal space, the opportunity to express myself and tea.”
