Sheffield, UK-based alternative rock band Perfectparachutepicture return with their new single ‘Silhouette’, exploring the idea that we all change as people through time, while raising the question of whether this change is a result of our own actions or it’s the effect of the world around us.

Perfectparachutepicture is a prime example on how much bass guitar and drums can do. They not only have amazing riffs and rhythm that makes you want to run and never stop, but they also display their skill as songwriters by crafting songs that are memorable and catchy. When they visit your town, this powerful due will figuratively and practically set everything on fire. You’ll hear Kyle Ernest sing meaningful lyrics with passion and play drums with the same ammount of dedication together with Edward James on bass guitar that is spitting lightning and throwing bombs.

Perfectparachutepicture share their thoughts about the single:

“’Silhouette’ is a deep look into yourself, not really knowing what you see. We can recognise our past self, but we don’t really know that person anymore and we don’t understand what it is that’s changed. The heart of the song is about the realisation that we all change as people, but it questions if it’s us changing ourselves, or if it’s the effect of the world around us. The song is melancholic at times but the acceptance in the lyrics, ‘you can’t change who you are, it’s the change around you’ show that sometimes, we just have to accept our fate and roll with it.”

The band is frequently mentioned on radio stations all around the world. They had extensive radio airplay for their 2021 EP ‘White Walls’ on BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing, as well as international airplay in nations including the USA, Canada, Australia, and many others. Their previous single, ‘Idea’ was included in Spotify playlists ‘All New Rock’, ‘New Punk Tracks’, and ‘The Punk List’, and it remained on some of those playlists for almost six months. Even more so, the band’s most recent single, which was released in February of this year, earned them their first ever Radio 1 play on Jack Saunders’ evening show.

Perfectparachutepicture has shows scheduled across the UK. Don’t miss the opportunity to see them live and keep an eye out for updates!
